Getting to McCormick Place

Public Transportation

The Metra Electric Line stops directly at McCormick Place via the McCormick Place Station, located below the South Building.

  • From downtown (Millennium Station), it’s a 7-minute ride.
  • CTA bus and ‘L’ train connections available throughout the city.

Complimentary shuttle service will be available between the official IEEE PES T&D hotels in the housing block and McCormick Place.

  • 6:30AM to 10:30AM – Peak shuttle service between Route Hotels and McCormick Place. 
  • 10:30AM to 3:30PM – Limited shuttle service between Route Hotels and McCormick Place.
  • 3:30PM to 5:00PM – Peak shuttle service from McCormick Place to the Route Hotels. 
  • 5:30PM to 9:30PM – Peak shuttle service between the Route Hotels, McCormick Place for the Walking Hotels and Welcome Reception Location at Old Post Office – Historic Hall.
  • 6:30AM to 10:30AM – Peak shuttle service from Route Hotels to McCormick Place.
  • 10:30AM to 2:30PM – Limited shuttle service between Route Hotels and McCormick Place
  • 2:30PM to 5:30PM – Peak shuttle service from McCormick Place to Route Hotels. 
  • 6:30AM to 10:30AM – Peak shuttle service from Route Hotels to McCormick Place.
  • 10:30AM to 3:30PM – Limited shuttle service between Route Hotels and McCormick Place
  • 3:30PM to 7:30PM – Peak shuttle service from McCormick Place to Route Hotels. 
  • 6:30AM to 10:30AM – Peak shuttle service from Route Hotels to McCormick Place.
  • 10:30AM to 2:30PM – Limited shuttle service between Route Hotels and McCormick Place
  • 2:30PM to 5:30PM – Peak shuttle service from McCormick Place to Route Hotels.
