2026 Paper Submissions

Submission Requirements
  • Papers (maximum length five (5) pages) must be prepared in accordance with the procedures outlined in the PES Authors Kit.
  • Full papers must be submitted to the online submission and review site (Papers identified as Part 1 and Part 2 papers will NOT be accepted).
  • All papers must be submitted by 14 August 2025.
  • Authors will be advised via email of acceptance or rejection of the paper by 4 November 2025.
  • If revisions are required, authors will be notified prior to that date.
  • All papers must be submitted in standard English.
  • Accepted papers will be published in IEEEXplore, after they have been presented.

*If a paper is accepted for the conference, the accepted paper is the final version of the paper.  Your paper should be ready for publication when you submit it as no changes can be made to accepted papers.

Paper Selection

Submission of a paper does not guarantee acceptance. Quality and relevancy of the submitted paper is the highest priority for acceptance. Papers will undergo a rigorous review process via the IEEE PES Technical Committees and specific quotas and acceptance rates will be established and applied.

Presentation of Conference Papers

Conference papers will be scheduled for presentation at the Wednesday evening poster session. Presentation of an accepted paper at the conference is a requirement of publication. Any paper that is not presented at the conference will not be included in IEEEXplore.

Prize Conference Paper

Up to 5 conference papers will be chosen and recognized as IEEE PES T&D Prize Papers. These papers and authors will be identified at the Monday night poster session and the authors will receive a letter of recognition.

Transactions Paper Presentations at the Poster Session

An author of an accepted PES Transactions paper who is interested in presenting it at the 2026 PES T&D must select “accepted transactions paper abstract” as the paper type from the dropdown menu. You must upload the full paper, as a supporting document, in addition to the paper’s abstract, to the on-line submission and review site by the deadlines listed above. The appropriate PES Technical Committee Program Chair (TCPC) will determine if the topic of the paper is suited for presentation in one of the technical sessions. The author will be notified of the decision by e-mail.

This process is for the TCPC’s use only. The full paper will not be published in the Conference Proceedings. Do not upload the full paper as its own submission. It must be uploaded along with the abstract so there will be only one conference paper number.  Accepted Transactions papers that will be presented at the 2026 IEEE PES T&D will have their abstracts published in the Conference Proceedings.

Conference Registration

At least one author of each accepted conference paper or Transactions paper for presentation must register for the meeting and pay the appropriate fee. Conference papers or Transactions paper abstracts will not be released for publication in the 2026 PES T&D Proceedings or scheduled for presentation unless the fee is paid.

Note: Registration deadline for authors may be earlier than the general registration deadline. Additional information about the meeting will be posted as it becomes available on the conference website at ieeet-d.org.  One author registration allows the author to present two papers at the conference, if additional papers are to be presented by the same author, there is a charge of $150.00 per paper over 2.
