Members of the Media: Receive Complimentary Media Badges For Press Coverage

The 2026 IEEE PES T&D Conference and Exposition is the leading event for energy professionals and technologies shaping the future of transmission and distribution.

Qualified members of the press are invited to apply for complimentary media credentials to attend and cover the 2026 event in Chicago.

What Does a Media Badge Include?

  • Access to all Technical Sessions & Super Sessions
  • Admission to the full Exhibit Hall, Floor Stages & Poster Session
  • Entry to the Opening Reception & Networking Event
  • Conference Proceedings
  • Mobile App & Planner Tools
  • Complimentary bus transportation from event contracted hotels.
  • Daily lunch provided
  • High-speed Wifi

How to Apply

To be considered for media credentials, please complete the Press Credential Application and submit required documentation.

  • Deadline to apply: TBA
  • Notification of approval: Within 10 business days of submission
  • Photo ID is required for badge pickup onsite.

Who Qualifies for a Media Badge?

To be eligible for complimentary press access, applicants must:
  • Be a journalist, editor, producer, or publisher working for a recognized media outlet
  • Submit at least one of the following:
    • Articles, clips, or reports published in the past 24 months that demonstrate coverage of the energy sector
    • Proof of assignment from an editor (if freelance)
    • Links to relevant broadcast, online, or print content
Preference will be given to:
  • Those who covered IEEE PES T&D in 2024
  • Those recently published in Power & Energy Magazine
  • Applicants who reference IEEE PES in prior reporting

Onsite Registration

Pre-approved applicants can check in at Express Registration with a valid photo ID. Onsite registration for press will be reviewed case-by-case and is not guaranteed. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Post Event Coverage

All approved media are required to submit proof of event coverage within six (6) weeks after the event concludes.

Accepted submissions:

  • Published articles or blog posts
  • Broadcast links or bylined coverage
  • PDFs of printed publications

Your coverage may be quoted in future IEEE PES T&D marketing.

Media Conduct & Policies

  • Media credentials are non-transferable
  • IEEE PES T&D reserves the right to revoke or deny credentials at its discretion
  • Individuals who fail to submit post-event coverage may be ineligible for future events
  • All media attendees must comply with the official Show Policies.
