2026 IEEE PES T&D 2026 offered Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for technical session participation and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) upon completion of eligible Tutorials or Plain Talk About The Electric Power courses. These credits helped attendees meet licensing and continuing education requirements for engineers and technical professionals.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) – One CEU typically equals 10 contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction.
PDHs (Professional Development Hours) – One PDH equals one hour of instruction or presentation related to professional practice. State licensing boards commonly require PDHs for engineers and other licensed professionals to renew their licenses.
Exhibit hall activities and networking events do not qualify for credit.
Attend the qualifying technical session in full.
Keep track of all sessions attended – titles, days, and times for documentation.
All event attendees will be emailed the official 2026 IEEE PES T&D PDH confirmation form for their records. Email m.proetto@ieee.org with any questions.
Note: Tutorial and Plain Talk course attendees will receive an email for CEU form confirmation. Email l.gourdine@ieee.org for any questions.
Event attendees who participate in the eligible technical sessions qualify for PDHs. CEUs are available to those who have successfully completed the Tutorial or Plain Talk About Electric Power Industry courses.
PDHs are typically awarded at a rate of 1 PDH per hour of participation.
CEUs follow IEEE guidelines, where 1 CEU = 10 hours of instruction. Final credit totals may vary based on session length and content.
IEEE does not directly report credits to licensing boards. Attendees are responsible for submitting documentation.
Acceptance of CEUs/PDHs may vary by state or certifying body. Check with your specific board or organization.
